Nancy held up my latest book and said, "That's chapter one." He bought a book.
Overhearing that conversation, a woman chimed in and said, "I think I'd want to take a class before I got started."
Nancy held up a copy of my book and said, "Wow! You're on the right track. That's chapter two." She bought a book.
Someone else added, "Well, I got started this past spring. There's this guy in Marble Hill who is helping me."
Nancy held up another copy of my book and said, "Imagine that. You just described chapter three." He bought a book.
Later that morning an elderly lady shared how her grand-daughter wanted to start keeping bees, but the grand-daughter didn't know where to start gathering the best, most pertinent information. Nancy showed her my book and she bought one for her grand-daughter.
Just about the time Nancy was ready to pack up and come home, another honey customer added, after making his purchase, "Man, I think bees are so cool, but my wife thinks I'm absolutely crazy, like, what do I know about bees? She thinks the bees will attack her."
Nancy held up another copy of my book and said, "Then you need to get this book for her. This is the book she needs to read so she understands what you're going through and how you can make wise choices so the bees don't attack her and how she can be a source of encouragement."
I can almost guarantee, that if you are thinking about getting a bee hive for the back yard, you don't really know all the stuff there is to think about. This book draws on my experience and explains many of the options of getting started, but mostly to get you thinking about what is going to work the best for you, and your circumstances.
